On any given day, more than 1,000 Mirro products can be found for sale online, but rarely will a Mirro tree come on the market. By the Space Age era of the 1960’s, Mirro was firmly established as a major supplier of aluminum household goods: pots, pans, molds, percolators, pitchers/cups, kettles, bun warmers, timers, camping sets, cookie cutters, presses, and even a gingerbread house mold! Modern aluminum was the new ease-of-use material transforming the modern housewife’s kitchen. If it could be made of aluminum, Mirro was making it.

It seems that manufacturing aluminum Christmas trees would have been a natural diversification for the wide-ranging Mirro Aluminum Company.

Michael J. Lalick of Mirro held 3 patents pertaining to aluminum Christmas trees:

Hallmarks of Mirro

Well! The Mirro Aluminum Company certainly took aluminum tree assembly to a whole new level. Most Mirro poles were aluminum, (although Mirro did wooden for some models). With their unmistakable patented collar feature, the tree branches could be adjusted to the liking of the consumer.

The preeminent model aluminum Christmas tree made by Mirro is undeniably the Mirro Poinsettia! Featuring crisp aluminum flowers that snap on the branch ends, this tree makes a mid-mod statement like no other.
